Helping The Orphaned Children of Uganda

Uganda has been hard hit by AIDS leaving thousands of children without parents, or anyone to care for them.  There are also many children who become orphaned for many reasons resulting from the extreme poverty in this country. We have partnered with Kilolo Christian Heart Orphanage, a certified CBO (Community Based Organization) to build our first forever home for 30+ children in the Nakaseke District of Uganda. These children would otherwise be at risk for child trafficking, prostitution or worse. We hope that this will be the first of many homes like it to come.

Uganda is in the heart of Africa.

Wabiyinja Village Home

We have begun building our first home for these children.  Kilolo Christian Heart Orphanage is in Wabiyinja Village, which is in the Nakaseke District, located in Central Uganda.

The orphanage will have 15 children that are already in our care and will accommodate as many as 30 or more children when completed. It will have six bedrooms, three bathrooms, an open kitchen with a service bar, pantry, laundry room, a large central area for dining and teaching as well as a study hall with a computer lab.

We will drill a well for water and eventually bring in a solar system for electricity.

And though the lot is not very large for this home, we are planning for a small garden and some fruit trees around it. This will supplement the food the children need, teach them how to grow their own produce, and give them a good work ethic.
